Who we are
Naturally Camille (naturallycamille.com) is a food and lifestyle blog owned and operated by Camille Calvin. This policy explains what information we collect when you visit this site, why we collect it, and the choices you have. If you have questions, you can reach us through our Contact page.
Information we collect automatically
Like most websites, we use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand how visitors use the site — which pages are popular, how people found us, and general audience trends. Google Analytics collects information such as your approximate location, device and browser type, and pages viewed. This data is aggregated and does not identify you personally. You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
Cookies
Cookies are small text files stored on your device. We use them to keep the site working properly (for example, remembering items in your cart) and to understand site traffic through Google Analytics. If you leave a comment, you may opt in to saving your name, email, and website in a cookie for your convenience on future visits — these last for one year. Login and screen-option cookies are set for logged-in users as standard with WordPress.
Advertising
We are not currently running third-party display advertising on this site. If that changes — for example, if we join an advertising network such as Google AdSense or a premium ad management partner — this section will be updated to name the specific network(s) and explain how they and their partners use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads, including personalized ads based on your visits to this and other websites. You would be able to opt out of personalized advertising through the Network Advertising Initiative or, in the EU, through the Your Online Choices platform.
Comments
When you leave a comment, we collect the data shown in the comment form, plus your IP address and browser user agent string to help detect spam. An anonymized, hashed version of your email address may be checked against the Gravatar service to display a profile picture; Gravatar’s privacy policy is available at automattic.com/privacy. Once your comment is approved, your profile picture is visible to the public alongside your comment.
Newsletter and email list
If you subscribe to our email list, we collect your name and email address and store them with our email service provider, MailerLite, to send you updates and content you’ve requested. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email we send. See MailerLite’s privacy policy for how they handle data.
Shop orders
If you make a purchase through our shop, we collect the information needed to process your order — such as your name, shipping address, email, and payment details. Payments are processed securely by our payment provider; we do not store your full card details ourselves. Order information is retained for as long as needed for accounting, customer service, and legal purposes.
Embedded content from other websites
Articles on this site may include embedded content, such as YouTube videos. Embedded content behaves exactly as if you visited the other website directly — those sites may collect data about you, use cookies, and track your interaction with the embedded content, especially if you are logged into an account with them.
Who we share data with
We share data only with the service providers needed to run the site: our hosting provider, Google (Analytics and, if enabled, advertising), MailerLite (email), and our payment processor (for shop orders). We do not sell your personal information. If you request a password reset, your IP address is included in the reset email.
How long we keep data
Comments and their metadata are kept indefinitely so we can recognize follow-up comments automatically. If you register an account, your profile information is kept while your account exists. Order records are kept as long as required for accounting and legal purposes.
Your rights
If you have an account or have left comments on this site, you can request an exported copy of the personal data we hold about you, or ask us to erase it, by contacting us through our Contact page. This doesn’t include data we’re required to keep for administrative, legal, or security reasons. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA.
Children’s privacy
This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time, particularly as the site grows or adds new services like advertising. We’ll update the “Last updated” date above when we do.
